Pastor Maggie grew up in McKees Rocks, just outside Pittsburgh. She earned a Bachelor's degree and an MBA from Point Park University. She worked in Criminal Justice for nearly 16 years before feeling called by God. During that time, she took classes through the Harvest Conference School of Ministry and was ordained in 2024. Pastor Maggie has been serving at New Hope Free Methodist Church of Uniontown since 2022. She is married to Bill, and they have one son, Will.

Pastor Marlene's Favorite Bible Verse: "The Steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness" Lamentations 3:22-23
First, I love Jesus, His Church, and I am happy to serve the congregation here at New Hope.
Born again on Easter Sunday, 1980 and being full of a passion for Christ, I attended Greater Works Outreach School of Ministry in 1986-87. I began ministry with children, youth, adults, women, teaching, and preaching.
One of my great passions is soul winning; there is nothing more joyful than introducing someone to Jesus.
My husband, Jerry, is my greatest support and teams with me in various ministries. We partner at a local rehab and he teaches Adult Sunday School when needed. We
ministered together on different praise teams through the years also.
Employed as a Social Worker for years in Fayette County I developed compassion for
our families. Our needs are great but we continue to reach for a better future. For me, a
better future is found in knowing and serving Jesus.
I joined New Hope FMC (formerly Uniontown FMC) in 2001 after spending that first year
settling in and becoming familiar with doctrine and people. Now, as Asst. Pastor, I continue to serve with Gods grace and passion. I believe I am called to uplift the hands of the ministry and the congregation. I continue my education through the Harvest School of Ministry.
For me, New Hope is family, comfort, stability, joy, acceptance, and the love of God. It
is a place where you and your family will be welcomed. New Hope is just what the name
claims; it is NEW HOPE.
Our hearts and our door is open to you.

Kelly Sochko-Administrative Assistant
Hi, I’m Kelly Sochko. I’m married and have two grown children who I’m incredibly proud of. I truly love being part of the church and feel so blessed to be able to serve in any way I can. Working for the church brings me joy, it’s where I feel called and where I see God moving in so many ways.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 147:4: “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” It reminds me that God sees and knows each of us personally, and that means everything to me.
