A Vision for Uniontown Free Methodist Church: 2017-2021

Vision: A Worshiping, Living,
Disciple-Making Community

Uniontown Free Methodist Church will live as a New Testament church culture, celebrating in worship assembly and home-based community and pastoral care. UFMC will thrive and grow in searching for new opportunities in the Uniontown community, in all age groups, moving beyond survival by meeting current needs to thriving in health in future growth and mission.
Our mission will be the Great Commission as expressed by Jesus Christ In Acts 1:8 -

The most important responsibility of all staff ministries is giving ministry away: Reproducing new leaders, as in 2 Timothy 2:2:

For 2017-2021, We will commit ourselves to the following:
I.Change in church culture:
UFMC will become the Two-Winged Church, a church within a church, through:
ACTS2020, employing New Testament and Wesleyan principles of Celebration/Cell life as a church.
Serving families, young marrieds, traditional and single-parent.
II. Survey the community using census information, city resources, and inventory to learn how best to serve our neighbors.
III. Strategize expansion of youth and children’s ministries.
IV. Develop age-appropriate ministry for seniors and a men’s service fellowship ministry similar to WINGS (Women IN God’s Service) for women.
V. Find and adapt new facility to serve future ministry needs and goals.
Through this process, we will cease to be a program-based church into a dynamic seedbed for making equipped, active disciples for Jesus Christ.
